Elite DNA Behavioral Health, a comprehensive behavioral and mental health care provider, is launching a Spanish podcast, “Mente Sin Fronteras,” as a resource for Spanish-speaking patients and caregivers.
Launching during Hispanic Heritage Month, the podcast is hosted by Elite DNA Behavioral Health Amanda Bethurem, LMHC, with the first two episodes now available and one episode to be released each month moving forward. The podcast will shed light on how mental health is seen in the community, with topics to include stigma, cultural connections/barriers, depression, wellness, social anxiety about speaking a non-native language and more.
“As a mental health provider, we believe in delivering accessible mental health resources to the community as a whole,” said Elizabeth Dosoretz, LCSW, founder and CEO of Elite DNA Behavioral Health. “Starting this podcast opens the door for more opportunities to include patients of all backgrounds and ensure our patients feel represented and understood.”
The podcast will feature Elite DNA Behavioral Health staff and providers, community members and others. Episodes will be posted every month to Elite DNA’s YouTube channel at YouTube.com/@EliteDNABehavioralHealth4831/Podcasts.
“I am thrilled to help lead this new initiative and cover topics I know are important to our community,” said Amanda Bethurem, LMHC, at Elite DNA Behavioral Health. “We realize that members of the Hispanic/Latino community experience their own unique set of challenges when it comes to mental health, so we wanted to ensure we provided resources dedicated to them to benefit their mental health.”
