About Marina Riad
Hello! My name is Marina, and I am an Associate Therapist here at Elite DNA. I received my Master’s in Social Work at the University of South Florida with an emphasis on mental health counseling. Before my experience in clinical social work, I worked for public libraries, where I assisted patrons with finding community resources and providing a safe place for teens to attend programming and socialize. As an Egyptian American mental health therapist, I bring a culturally informed, compassionate, and client-centered approach to my work. I specialize in supporting adolescents and adults who navigate a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, communication, emotional regulation, LGBTQ+ issues, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
With experience in both individual and group therapy settings, I utilize evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based practices to help clients build confidence and insight, develop coping strategies, and foster emotional resilience. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported on their path toward healing and personal growth.
Outside of work, I love to read, travel abroad, and hang out with my tuxedo cat. I look forward to being part of your healing journey!
