About Zuria Thompson

In person or on screen, take a seat with me—where there’s no judgment and you’ll always feel seen. I work with individuals, couples, and families using a warm, compassionate, and eclectic approach that allows me to meet each client where they are. I believe therapy should feel like a safe place where you can be honest, feel supported, and explore your experiences without fear of judgment.

As a marriage and family therapist, I understand that our relationships, family experiences, environments, and support systems can deeply influence how we feel and how we move through life. I use systemic interventions to help clients better understand relationship patterns, improve communication, strengthen connections, set healthy boundaries, and find more effective ways to work through challenges together.

I have experience working with clients from ages 5 to 70 and enjoy connecting with people across the lifespan. Through person-centered interventions, unconditional positive regard, and genuine support, I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. My goal is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship that supports growth, self-reflection, and a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences.

Together, we can work toward greater peace of mind and spirit, set meaningful and realistic goals, reduce stressors, and develop tools to better manage emotional, behavioral, and relational needs. I hope to help each client recognize their strengths, reconnect with their sense of self, and develop a renewed appreciation for who they are and who they are becoming.

I believe healing does not always happen in a straight line, and you do not have to navigate it alone. Whether you are seeking support as an individual, couple, or family, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you work toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.
