About Yanelis Sanchez
Yanelis Sanchez, RCSWI, earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Southeastern University. Yanelis specializes in trauma therapy, children’s mental health, and adolescent issues, with additional focus areas including adoption, foster care, behavioral challenges, ADHD, acculturation issues, family dynamics, and Christian counseling.
Her approach to care is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and empowerment. She believes in creating a safe, supportive space where clients can feel heard, validated, and encouraged to reach their goals. By integrating trauma-informed and evidence-based interventions, Yanelis tailors her work to each client’s unique needs and development. With children and adolescents, she incorporates play and creative approaches to make therapy engaging and accessible, while also supporting parents and caregivers to strengthen family systems.
Yanelis is especially passionate about serving children who have experienced trauma, families navigating foster care and adoption, and adolescents facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She is also committed to offering Christian counseling for individuals and families who desire a faith-based approach in their healing journey. Guided by her values, Yanelis views every client with dignity and compassion, believing that every individual has the ability to grow, heal, and thrive.
