About Yamila Martin-Salazar

Born in Cuba, raised and lived in Spain and United Kingdom, Yamila Martin brings a rich multicultural perspective to her work in mental health. After moving to the United States in 2014, she transitioned from successful career as sales consultant and program developer to pursue her true calling in psychiatric care.
With a background in psychology and extensive working with young people aged 6 to 19 in the UK, Yamila now serves as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the U.S. Her clinical expertise spans inpatient psychiatric, geriatric behavioral health, and recovery services.
Recently joining Elite DNA Behavioral Health, Yamila is dedicated to helping individuals and families achieved mental wellness through compassionate, evidence-based care. Her approach combines clinical skill with deep commitment to understanding each patient’s unique story, empowering them to build resilience and thrive.
