About Tara Buffington

Tara Buffington is a Master’s-level Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern working toward licensure in the state of Florida. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Southwest and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from New Mexico State University. Tara brings extensive experience supporting young adults, adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, career counseling, and interpersonal relationship challenges. She is passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and values a client-centered, compassionate approach, striving to create a safe, collaborative, and welcoming environment that promotes healing, resilience, and personal growth.
