About Sharon Bloom

Dr. Sharon Bloom is a licensed psychologist with over 25 years of experience treating patients of all ages. As the Chief Clinical Officer for Elite DNA, Dr. Bloom leads the company’s Therapy Department which serves patients in more than 20 locations across the state of Florida.

Prior to joining Elite DNA, Dr. Bloom worked in a local group practice for several years, but was drawn to the interdisciplinary team approach at EDNA reminiscent of her work as Director of Mental Health Services at the New York Foundling Medical Center for Pediatrics and Rehabilitation (now Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center). She has also served as an adjunct psychology professor at Hodges University in Fort Myers.

Dr. Bloom’s treatment approach is based on the individual’s needs and readiness for therapy. She incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy for more hands-on strategies and coping tools, while also exploring the roots of symptoms to promote insight and self-understanding. She believes the therapeutic relationship is an important element to any successful treatment, so building rapport and creating a safe space for people to discuss their concerns is always a priority.
