About Shantanique King

I’m Shantanique Moore-King, fondly known as Shay. I am a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida. My journey to becoming a therapist was realized during my first master’s program, where I fell in love with the diverse field of Psychology. During my first graduate program, I found myself falling in love with the world of couples therapy and person centered modalities. My second masters specialized in Marriage and Family therapy, and I felt my heart flutter learning all the ways I could help myself and others navigate life through a systemic lens. I am always fascinated by strength-based methods, in society our lacks are often highlighted but we are more resilient than we thing. I enjoy helping couples and women find ways to overcome barriers in their relationships with themselves and others. I became a therapist to help others discover their strength, discover their abilities to take their lives back, and snatch the self-care they deserve.

I have experience working with at-risk youth, sexual assault survivors, self-image problems, anxiety, depression, couples, individual, and group therapy. I utilize techniques from Narrative Therapy, Solution-focused, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I look forward to joining you on your therapeutic journey of life and discovering your passions through self-awareness and healing.
