About Sarah McClure
Sarah McClure is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern working towards full licensure. Graduating from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2001, with a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies, Sarah became a teacher for 20 years working with students ranging from seniors in high school through early elementary. In 2020, she earned her Master of Education Degree in School Counseling and continued to earn her Certification in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Relocating to Florida from Texas in 2020, Sarah is a firm believer that it is not what happens to us in life, but rather how we deal with what happens to us, that makes us who we are. Sarah’s experience in education provided a foundation for mentoring children and adolescents to overcome obstacles and life’s challenges during hardships in their lives. With empathy and understanding Sarah can help individuals navigate life’s stressors so that their quality of life can improve.
Favoring Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy, Sarah believes that everyone’s needs vary. As a therapist her goal is to help those seeking services find a modality of therapy that best suits their individual needs, while providing an open, caring, and non-judgmental atmosphere where individual growth can flourish.
On her free time Sarah enjoys boating and fishing with her husband and relaxing at the beach with her family.
