About Dr. Omar Rieche
Dr. Omar Rieche is a board-certified psychiatrist with decades of experience treating children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Rieche specializes in psychiatric support for people living with anxiety, autism, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, and currently leads the psychiatry department as the Chief Medical Officer at Elite DNA Therapy Services. Prior to this, he maintained his private practice from 1996 and served as the Medical Director of Intensive Out-Patient Services at Park Royal Hospital.
Dr. Rieche is a passionate mental health advocate and unrelenting supporter of many non-profits, serving as an active board member of C.A.R.E.S. Suicide Prevention, Autism Task Force Lee County School Board and CHADD. Dr. Rieche has helped implement and evaluate mental health programs for children and adolescents and has a long history of serving many marginalized, underserved and complex populations.
Always a leader, in the past he has also served as Medical Director for Lee Memorial Behavioral Health Clinic as well as Medical Director for the State of Florida Children’s Medicaid and Welfare services for Magellan Health.
Dr. Rieche has provided services for children in specialized therapeutic foster care settings and has shared his extensive knowledge through trainings with the staff of the Children’s Crisis Inpatient Unit during its inception for SALUS Care in Southwest Florida.
In many ways, Dr. Rieche is on the forefront of advancing compassionate, compressive, patient-centered, integrated team-based care, and innovative approaches to solving (combatting) the Mental Health Crisis in Southwest Florida
