About Nicole Jennings

Hello! I’m Nicole, a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern who earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palo Alto University, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.

I work with clients across the lifespan, meeting clients wherever they are in their journey towards a life with more fulfilling connection and authenticity. I believe lasting change happens when people feel their story and culture are understood, empowered, and reconnected. I believe therapy should feel collaborative and tailored to each person’s unique story, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

One of my favorite parts of therapy is helping people explore the “why” behind their experiences. I enjoy translating current research on relationships and the brain into practical insights that clients can use in their everyday lives. My work is informed by relational neuroscience, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and other evidence-based approaches that help couples strengthen emotional connection, communicate more effectively, and move out of the cycles that keep them feeling stuck. I also welcome conversations about sexuality and intimacy with openness, curiosity, and without judgment.

I am deeply committed to learning and advocacy for equitable mental health access, and I strive to create spaces where clients experience both safety and growth in their relationship to self and others. Before becoming a therapist, much of my advocacy centered on athletes and the cultures that shape their well-being. Drawing from my own experience as a collegiate athlete, I continue to advocate for healthier athletic communities and have contributed to national conversations on athlete safety and culture, including being featured in The New York Times.
