About Mia Cerro
Hi, I’m Mia! I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern at Elite DNA. I believe that every person has the capacity to heal, grow, and create meaningful change in their life. Being able to support others through that journey is what makes this work so meaningful to me, and it is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they navigate challenges, build resilience, and reconnect with their strengths. Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to be yourself and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of West Florida and have experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and behavioral difficulties. Through a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, I work collaboratively with clients to build on their strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and deepen their understanding of themselves. Originally from Long Island, New York, I now call South Florida home. In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature, going to the beach, reading, traveling, and exploring practices that support personal growth and overall well-being.
