About Meggan De Jesus
Meggan (She/Her) is Registered Mental Health Intern (RMHI) who works with adults – both young and old – using evidence-based approaches to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational concerns. Her experience includes: crisis intervention, behavioral observation, and therapeutic support for diverse populations across emergency and inpatient settings. Her previous experience further informs her strengths in empathy, active listening, and collaborative problem-solving.
Her work reflects principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-informed techniques to help clients develop insight, build coping skills, and foster emotional regulation. She emphasizes collaboration and empowerment, supporting clients in identifying their own strengths and values as guides for growth.
Her approach is also trauma-informed and relational, recognizing the impact of past experiences and the importance of safety, trust, and connection in the therapeutic process. Drawing from her background in group facilitation and parent support, she integrates psychoeducation and skill-building to enhance clients’ resilience in daily life and relationships.
