About Mandi Walden

Hi, I’m Mandi.

I’m an Associate Licensed Counselor, and I’m passionate about helping people get unstuck in their lives. Whether you’re a parent looking for support for your child, a teen trying to find your footing, or a family working to reconnect, I’d love to walk alongside you.

My path to counseling actually started in the classroom. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in English Education from Chipola College in 2014, then went on to get my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta in 2022. Those years teaching gave me a deep love for working with children and teens — it’s where my passion for this age group really took root. After a year in private practice in the Atlanta area, I made my way to Alabama, where I now focus my practice on children, adolescents, and families.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, suicidality, low self-esteem, perfectionism, boundary struggles, and family conflict. My graduate training in play therapy, along with strengths-based and solution-focused approaches — including CBT, DBT, and person-centered techniques — means our work together will focus on what you’re already doing well, while building strategies for the areas where you’re struggling. Above all, I want you to feel seen, heard, understood, and accepted just as you are.

Outside the therapy room, I wear a lot of hats — wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend. I’m a proud geek, a big believer in a good nap, and always up for game night. I love spending time with my family, especially my two young boys, and the same warmth and patience I bring to them is what you’ll find when you sit down with me.

I practice under the direct supervision of Lizzie Tindell, LPC03167.
