About Luz Lafleur
Luz Lafleur is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with four years of experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical practice and social justice advocacy. Luz specializes in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and life transitions, with a particular interest in supporting those navigating postpartum depression. Her clinical approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), strengths-based, and solution-focused models.
Luz understands that beginning therapy – whether it’s your first time or a return to the process – can feel overwhelming or intimidating. She strives to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where clients feel safe to be themselves. Her goal is always to meet people where they are and work collaboratively toward their goals in a way that feels supportive and comfortable for them. She believes that therapy is a space for mutual
growth, where both client and clinician can learn and evolve together. Outside of her work, Luz enjoys running, rock climbing, and spending quality time with her family.
