About Loretta Egan
I am passionate about walking alongside my clients on their journey toward healing and growth. My approach is rooted in creating a supportive and empathetic environment where clients feel heard, valued, and understood.
I use several types of therapeutic approaches to help empower my clients overcome obstacles, heal from past wounds, and build a brighter future.
The first is Person-Centered Therapy, which fosters a genuine and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. Dialectical Behavior Therapy assists clients in managing intense emotions and improve interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance and mindfulness skills. Trauma-Based Therapy helps people understand that trauma impacts each individual differently, while incorporating trauma-informed practices to create a safe and empowering environment for healing. Internal Family Systems Therapy explores and harmonizes different parts of the self. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) works to have clients accepts their thoughts and feelings while committing to actions that align with their values. Finally, Emotion-Focused Therapy has clients identify, experience, and express their emotions in a healthy way, leading to deeper connections and personal growth.
