Hello, I’m glad you’re here! My preferred name is my middle name, Nicole. I am compassionate and down to earth. Before you know it, you may forget you’re talking to a provider. I’ve been told all my life how easy it is to speak with me. This recurrent response made me realize this is part of my calling in life.

I entered this profession at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic on an inpatient rehab unit primarily treating patients with mental health disorders. I especially enjoy working with patients with dual diagnoses. I have experience in the outpatient and intensive outpatient setting. I have practiced in the state of West Virginia and Missouri as I am a native of St. Louis. I especially connect with moms, children, veterans. However, I aim to genuinely connect with each client I encounter. Utilizing evidence-based practice is always a priority while using shared decision making to enhance patient outcomes.

I have over 10 years of a mental health experience combined. I began my nursing career as a Commissioned Officer on active duty in the Army. I worked on a medical-surgical and step down unit at Ft. Liberty for a few years. A year prior to leaving active duty, I completed training to become a psychiatric nurse. I assisted new recruits in mental health crisis to fortify their resilience and stabilize those with undiagnosed or pre-existing mental health disorders. Following my transition to civilian life, I continued to work as a psychiatric nurse in St. Louis as I worked towards becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I continue to serve in the Army Reserve. I am currently finishing course work to complete the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of South Alabama.
