About Laura Bobitz
Hi, I’m Laura and I’m so glad you’re here. I believe healing begins in a space where you feel safe, heard, and accepted without judgment. My goal is to create an environment where every client feels empowered to share their story at their own pace while recognizing the strengths and resilience they already possess.
Before becoming a therapist, I proudly served in law enforcement for ten years, where I worked alongside individuals and families experiencing trauma, crisis, grief, and life-changing events. That experience gave me a deep understanding of the lasting impact that trauma can have, as well as the importance of remaining calm, compassionate, and present during life’s most difficult moments. It also reinforced my belief that people are more than the challenges they face and that healing is possible with the right support.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy in addition to providing trauma-informed care when needed. I strive to provide a collaborative, supportive environment where clients feel emotionally safe while focusing on their strengths, building resilience, and creating meaningful, achievable goals. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing, so I strive to tailor each experience to be unique to each client.
I do have a special place in my heart for working with first responders and their families. Having experienced the culture and demands of public service firsthand, I understand the unique challenges that often accompany careers dedicated to helping others and how to successfully navigate balancing a healthy work/life balance. I also enjoy working with those experiencing relationship issues, trauma, and a variety of women’s issues such as postpartum depression and infertility. No matter what brought you here I’m already so proud of you and I hope to be a part of your healing journey.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband. We love being on the water and exploring new places by paddleboard. We also enjoying finding new places to eat and we love a good coffee shop.
