About Kila Murphey

Hi, I’m Dr. Kila Murphey, a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice and PMHNP certification from the University of North Florida, along with my Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

I am passionate about helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate mental health challenges while feeling supported, respected, and empowered throughout their care journey. My passion for mental health care is deeply rooted in my dedication to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. I believe every person deserves compassionate, individualized care that recognizes their unique strengths, challenges, and goals.

With experience in both medical and psychiatric care, I take a holistic approach to treatment by recognizing the important connection between physical and emotional health. I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients feel safe to share their experiences and actively participate in their care.

I value compassion, authenticity, and meeting people exactly where they are. My goal is to partner with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that support healing, resilience, and long-term well-being while helping them feel hopeful about their future.

Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with my family.
