Hi, I’m Karishma Basant-Prashad, a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and fostering a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard. My goal is to build a trusting, collaborative relationship that empowers you to explore your experiences, develop new skills, and move toward meaningful growth.

I have experience providing mental health services to diverse populations in both outpatient and telehealth settings, working with children, adolescents, and adults. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, and I recognize that every individual’s experiences, strengths, and needs are unique. Because of this, I use an integrative approach that combines evidence-based practices with holistic, client-centered care tailored to your goals and circumstances.

As a multicultural therapist, I value creating an inclusive and affirming space where clients can bring all aspects of their identities into the therapeutic process. I believe that each person has the capacity for growth and healing, and I am honored to walk alongside my clients as they work toward living a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and aligned with their values.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy reading, chasing sunsets, and spending quality time with family and friends.
