About Jordan Ashley Hyre
When you or someone in your life deals firsthand with serious mental illness, patience and understanding goes a long way – and are valuable tools when reflecting on the self, too. An opportunity to help others harvest a kind inner voice – one that is patient, is nonjudgmental, and can account for traumas and behavior-shaping experiences with care – is the opportunity I have worked for since I was first able to study psychology.
Psychoeducation and trauma-informed care can be critical tools for a wide variety of clients. Developing an understanding of why and how your brain works is critical to the development of insight and, subsequently, growth. When working with clients of all ages, I aim to facilitate demystification of the stigmatizing beliefs that shape self-reflection, comprehension of the neurology behind their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and legitimization of their experiences. I have experience in the realm of neurodivergence/AuDHD, trauma and trauma-informed care, and other diagnoses/mental health concerns (including but not limited to panic disorder/agoraphobia, GAD, MDD, disorders, personality disorders, and C-PTSD).
