About Jaime Shooster

There are certain conditions that if met can cultivate healing and growth for individuals coming into the counseling space. Using Humanistic Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and an integration of other evidence-based approaches, I work to build a therapeutic relationship with my clients to meet these conditions so they can find a path on life’s journey that help them tolerate their pain, overcome their challenges, increase how well they function, and find joy in their experience.

We may need to sit in a space to safely explore distressing cognitions and feelings while finding a method to process them in a healthy way. Perhaps we need to learn to manage our internal energy in order to perceive a greater feeling of control and emotional regulation. Yet again we may find it wise to work together to reframe an unhelpful belief or cluster of beliefs and associated thought patterns into narratives that are more conducive to our wellbeing. This and so much more can be addressed in therapy. I look forward to our work together.
