About Holly Miller
As a therapist, I use systemic methods to build a collaborative relationship with you to help empower you to make positive changes in your life. I understand that deciding to seek help can be difficult, so I approach each session with compassion, directness, humility, no judgment, and a dash of humor to create an environment where you feel supported in your counseling journey. Having a solid connection to your therapist is vital for therapy to be successful. I pride myself on the holistic approach to a therapeutic relationship. I value your thoughts, insight, and input, as they are essential for your success. I use systems theory and integrate multiple models, including, but not limited to, solutions-focused therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, and collaborative/narrative therapy. I work with my clients to find an approach that best fits each individual.
In 2013, I began my journey working in the social service field by helping families in the child welfare system. I served at-risk youth with childhood trauma, mental health, and displacement issues. I felt as if I needed to do more, so I began the journey of obtaining my master’s in marriage and family therapy. During my internship, I fell in love with working with all age groups and found a deep connection in serving all ages, individuals, families, and couples. I have experience working with people from all walks of life in both a community mental health setting as well as private practice setting. I welcome individuals, couples, and families, including children and adolescents.
I continue learning as much from my clients as they do from me.
