About Genesis Lenis Carreras

Genesis Lenis Carreras is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern and with a passion for treating mental health from a systemic perspective. Her previous experiences in career and educational guidance counseling, as well as providing therapeutic services to children and families affected by child abuse, have taught her that healing works best when treatment is collaborative between the clinician, the client, and those who interact with them on their day to day.

Genesis is trained in trauma focused – cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) as well as Gottman Method Couples Therapy – Level 1, giving her a strong foundation for working with various populations and ages on a wide range of presenting concerns including trauma, adjustment to major life events, as well as family and relationship issues that may occur throughout the lifespan. Her approach is collaborative, directive as needed, and comprehensive to your needs.

In her free time, Genesis enjoys expressive arts, such as painting and building Lego sets, reading fantasy novels, attending concerts, volunteering in the community, and spending time with her family and friends.
