About Emma Lara

I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern with experience working in addiction inpatient treatment, where I have had the privilege of supporting individuals through some of their most vulnerable and transformative moments. I believe it is a deep honor when someone chooses to trust me with their story, and I approach each therapeutic relationship with empathy, patience, and respect.

As a therapist, I value authenticity, trust, and connection. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen and heard. I believe healing happens when pain is validated and individuals are supported in reconnecting with their inner resilience and strength—often strengths that may feel buried beneath life’s challenges or past experiences.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative and trauma-informed, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and humanistic, person-centered therapy. I tailor treatment to each individual, honoring their lived experiences while supporting meaningful growth, skill-building, and lasting change.
