About Emily Fricker
Emily is a licensed clinical social worker who deeply empathizes with her clients and fosters a trusting, collaborative, and authentic relationship. She creates a compassionate therapeutic space where clients feel seen, understood, and safe. Her person-centered approach integrates an eclectic blend of evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy.
Emily has several years of experience working with adolescents, adults, and elders in various clinical settings. Her background includes conducting mental health evaluations in emergency departments, providing care in psychiatric inpatient stabilization units, and working in intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs (IOP/PHP) as well as inpatient hospice care. She has specialized expertise in supporting clients who struggle with nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI) and chronic suicidality.
Emily views the relationship between a client and therapist as sacred. She strives to empower her clients to self-reflect, gain insight, adopt healthy coping skills, and achieve their treatment goals by fostering a genuine human connection that creates a safe space for expression without judgment, fear, or expectations.
