About Denise Butler Cleveland, LICSW-S, PIP

Dr. Cleveland is a child, adolescent, adult, and family therapist at Dothan Behavioral Medicine Clinic. She has fifteen years of experience at The University of Alabama in educational research administration and 20+ years in the mental health field. Dr. Cleveland holds a Bachelor’s from Judson College in Communications, Master’s and Doctorate in Education, and a Master’s in Social Work, all from The University of Alabama.

Dr. Cleveland specializes in interventions for families experiencing concerns attention deficit disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, anxiety, depression, and other mental disorders. Dr. Cleveland serves as an Educational Consultant for Children, Adolescents, and College Students with behavioral and /or mental disorders experiencing academic difficulties. She assists with the development of educational accommodations and attends meetings as an advocate for parents and patients.
