About Cynthia Gates

I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. I practice from a trauma informed and person-centered space, meaning I believe that each individual is the expert on their own life and has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change.  Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all model, which is why I collaborate with clients to tailor treatment to each person’s unique strengths, challenges, values, and goals.

My work is grounded in empathy and authenticity and I strive to build a strong therapeutic relationship where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, gain insight, and move toward lasting change. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you better understand your experiences, tap into your strengths, and move toward the changes you want to see. It is an honor to hold space for you and I will meet each person exactly where they are at.
