About Cortney Roquemore

My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). In essence, CBT focuses on identifying and modifying negative thought patterns and behaviors, while MBCT integrates CBT with mindfulness techniques to foster greater self-awareness. Throughout my practice, I have worked with individuals struggling with a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety and depression. I employ a person-centered approach, empowering clients to take ownership of their recovery and develop autonomy in making informed decisions. It’s vital to acknowledge that mental health diagnoses are merely descriptive terms for symptoms, rather than definitions of an individual’s identity. I encourage individuals to seek mental health therapy without hesitation, recognizing that finding the right therapist is a personal process. I have witnessed numerous clients experience significant improvements in their well-being, and I have also benefited from this journey myself. If additional resources are required, please do not hesitate to contact me. Wishing you a path of positive mental health.
