Calvina “Cali” Hunt is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). Cali is deeply devoted to delivering top-notch, empathetic, and holistic mental health care to individuals of all ages, from children to the elderly. Her exceptional clinical skills are complemented by her natural talent for connecting with patients and their families. Cali combines evidence-based guidelines with clinical expertise, personal insight, and intuition. In her capacity as a PMHNP, Cali fulfills a multifaceted position, serving as a mental health educator and patient-centered advocate within the realm of mental health and healthcare.

Cali completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2004 and earned her Master of Nursing of Science (MSN) in 2009 at Florida A&M University. Additionally, she obtained her Adult Nurse Practitioner certification, Critical Care Registered Nurse certification, and Specialized CCRN Cardiac certification. Cali also achieved her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse certification from the University of Miami.

Cali is passionate about helping individuals and families in need of mental care throughout their lives. She’s a local to the Gainesville area, a product of Alachua County’s public school system, and an active member of the community. Cali is also a big sports fan and loves spending time with her family and friends.
