About Audrea Mendiola

As a supervisee in social work, I am passionate about helping individuals and families feel seen, supported, and empowered throughout their healing journey. My experience includes working in behavioral health, case management, crisis response, healthcare advocacy, and community-based services with divers populations across the lifespan. My clinical approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and a holistic understanding of how life experiences, relationships, and systems impact mental health. I incorporate evidenced-based and relationship-focused approaches including Motivational Interviewing (MI) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, systems and family systems theory, and the Gottman Method for couples therapy. I strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to work toward meaningful change. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy meditation, spending time with family, and unwinding with a good TV series or book.
