About Angelica M. Cepeda
Angelica has over 20 years of experience in the social work field, with extensive expertise in disaster-related trauma, serving communities in her native Puerto Rico and in Florida. She is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary, where she earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling.
Angelica provides a supportive, self-affirming environment in which clients feel heard, respected, and understood. She walks alongside her clients, fostering self-awareness and helping them process life experiences while meeting them where they are in their unique stage of life. When desired by the client, Angelica thoughtfully incorporates spirituality as a source of meaning, strength, and healing, honoring each individual’s beliefs and values.
She utilizes a collaborative, goal-oriented approach to help clients identify and work toward their personal, emotional, and relational goals. Angelica integrates evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), grounded in person-centered and humanistic frameworks.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, Angelica is able to connect with diverse cultures and generational groups. She works with children, individuals, couples, and families, offering culturally responsive, compassionate, and holistic care.
