About Alexus Rivera

Hello, my name is Alexus and I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. I earned my bachelor’s degree through Florida Atlantic University and went on to obtain my master’s degree at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. I have had the opportunity to work in a multitude of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and the school setting. While I have worked with a wide range of clients, I specialize in working with clients who experience anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and grief. I also specialize in providing affirming care to LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent folks.

I am trained in trauma-informed care, and seek to provide quality treatment to all who walk through the door. I believe that everyone deserves a chance at understanding their mental health and finding ways to overcome personal challenges. I work to foster an inclusive space so that all may feel welcome and comfortable while we explore complex personal experiences. I tailor treatment to meet the needs of each person I work with, utilizing an eclectic method of treatment to ensure you receive the care you are in search of.
