About Alexis A. Ethridge
Hi! I’m an Associate Therapist based in Trinity, Florida, and I’m passionate about creating a warm, supportive space where clients feel truly seen and understood. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida A&M University and my master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School. I’m currently continuing my education as a PhD student in Counselor Education and Supervision at The Chicago School.
Much of my experience comes from working in psychiatric inpatient care with adolescents and teens facing significant mental health challenges and trauma. I also have experience in community mental health and outpatient settings, where I’ve developed a strong passion for supporting adults—particularly women—through life transitions, identity concerns, stress, trauma, and emotional wellness. I love working with children, adults, women, and families as they navigate healing and growth.
In therapy, I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) principles. I tailor my approach based on each client’s unique needs, always centering the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful change. I believe deeply in a collaborative process—one that fosters trust, respect, and mutual understanding.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you can find me spending time with my two cats or planning my next travel adventure!
