About Akanksha Kudal

I am a dedicated mental health professional passionate about providing compassionate, culturally responsive care. I have experience working with young adults, particularly BIPOC individuals, international students, and first- and second-generation Americans addressing anxiety, depression, adjustment, acculturation and trauma issues.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of New Haven (UNH) and have experience supporting college students through my internship at Southern Connecticut State University. I also worked as a BASICS facilitator at UNH and briefly interned in a residential substance use setting.

My approach is client-centered and collaborative, integrating Motivational Interviewing, ACT, and CBT through a multicultural lens. I strive to create a safe, affirming space where clients feel empowered to explore their emotions and values.
I’m also passionate about international mental health, advocacy, and increasing access to care for underserved communities.
