About Merlande Vance

Merlande Vance is a dedicated board-certified Nurse Practitioner in psychiatry who immigrated to the United States at the age of 14. After overcoming the challenges of adapting to a new country, she completed high school in the U.S. and pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Her early career included working in a progressive care unit, behavioral health, and concierge, where she gained valuable experience and developed a passion for patient care.

Driven by a desire to make a difference in her community, Merlande decided to specialize in mental health. Growing up, she witnessed firsthand the lack of awareness and understanding of mental health issues in her family and community. This motivated her to return to school and become a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with the goal of bridging the gap in mental health care for those who need it most.

Today, Merlande is committed to providing compassionate, culturally competent care to her patients, helping them navigate their mental health journeys with the support and understanding they deserve. Her unique background and deep commitment to her community make her an invaluable advocate for mental health awareness and care.
