No one is unaffected from the encounters that life comes with, and while you have pushed through other difficulties you’ve faced there is nothing wrong with seeking help when you need it. Because each person and situation is never the same, the therapy will be different depending on each individual and their circumstances. It is important to understand that therapy is a partnership, it’s all about working together to get the best results in the end. My background is primarily in substance abuse, while working with people who suffer from addiction, I have had the privilege to work with many who have underlying conditions to their substance use. Many suffer with depression, anxiety, stress related disorders, abuse victims and so much more. As a therapist I can assist with many issues with the use of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Techniques, Solution-Focused, Supportive Therapy, Mindfulness Stress Reduction, & Talk Therapy. With this use of these techniques can change behaviors, establish and maintain relationships, enhance an individual’s ability to cope, facilitate decision-making, and increase personal development. The hardest step is to walk in the door. Once you begin, you will be on your way to recovery.
